Instant Pot Chicken Tenders: Recipe For Chicken Tenders With Instant Pot

Many people don’t have the time or ability to freeze chicken before dinner. It is much more convenient to not do the defrosting. This is not an issue with the Instant Pot. It can cook chicken quickly and it can also be used from frozen, which makes it really delicious. Since I don’t use the Instant Pot, it’s not necessary to thaw chicken prior to cooking. It only takes a few extra minutes to thaw chicken, and the results are just as delicious and tender. Although this recipe isn’t your typical one, since it only has 2 ingredients, I guarantee you’ll return to it over and over again. Chicken is a great choice for any kind of recipe.

Chicken tacos anyone?

What’s the point of an instant pot?

Because it cuts down on cooking time, the Instant Pot is one the most versatile kitchen appliances. It can make soups and stews faster, as well as making tough cuts of beef tender and baking a cheesecake. There are many accessories to help you get the most out of your Instant Pot.

Essential Ingredients

The Instant Pot can cook as many chicken tenderloins as you want. For 4 pieces of chicken, it takes the same amount as for 30 pieces. Don’t exceed the recommended serving size. These are the only ingredients you will need to make this recipe:

  • Chicken tenderloins
  • Chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper

You don’t have to use chicken broth, or you don’t have any on hand. You can also use water. Although it won’t have the same rich flavor as seasoned, it is still very tasty.

Additions and Variations

You can also add many different spices. Try:

  • Seasonings for Italian cuisine
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Hickory salt

You still need to have at least one cup of water, no matter what flavor combination you choose. Remember that sauces are added to water when you add them. Your sauce will be a little watery, so you will need to cook it down or thicken it with corn starch.

How to cook frozen chicken tenders in an Instant Pot

Making frozen chicken tenderloins is as easy as making them from thawed. You just need to allow the chicken to reach the right internal temperature. These are the steps to follow.

  1. In the inner pot, add one cup of chicken broth.
  2. Place the frozen chicken tenders into the liquid
  3. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, or other seasonings.
  4. Secure the lid and close the vent.
  5. For more than 15 tenderloins, press the “pressure cook” button. Cook on high pressure for 6 mins.
  6. After you have done this, ensure that the chicken’s internal temperature is at least 160 degrees.

How to use chicken tenderloins

Chicken tenderloins are versatile and can be used in many dishes. Once you know how to make them, you will be making them every day. You can either serve them straight out of the Instant pot with a sauce or season them with sauce. This allows you to cook lots of chicken at once and use it for multiple meals throughout the week.

To make:

  • Chicken tacos
  • BBQ chicken sandwiches
  • Chicken salad (or sandwiches)
  • Cajun Chicken Pasta
  • Chicken Caesar salads

These are just a few suggestions. There are many more ideas. To flavor your chicken, you can add seasonings or sauces to the inner pot. For a zesty, flavorful chicken, you can add BBQ sauce to the pot.
